Why did the high priest view it as blasphemy when Jesus acknowledged that he was the Christ, the Son of God? Before Christ were many prophets, of whom they believe, Jesus is also one of them. This is more reason why they don`t believe in Him. Secondly, having known the natural father of Jesus as Joseph the capenter, they believe it is a sin for human being to called himself the Son of God. They believe God has no child and nobody ever seen God before to attest to it that surely Jesus was the Son of God.
