Why did not the Father let the cup pass and spare Jesus the pain of the crucifiction? Jesus could not be spared, because the Salvation of mankind depended on his sacrifice on the cross.It was God`s will and desire to see his Son, go through the great suffering, so that mankind could be saved.

Why did Judas betray Jesus with a kiss? Kissing is part of a culture in Jews and a sign of love. Judas kissed Jesus to show a sign of love to Him. But a sign of hatred to those who are looking to arrest Jesus.
