Why did John introduce Jesus as "the Lamb of God"? He introduce JESUS CHRIST as the lamb of GOD because,he is the one that will take away the sin of the world by sacrificing his life for all.

How did John`s testimony prepare people to receive Jesus and His message? By saying, I am not the Christ. It implies that there exists a Christ, of whom John was only a fore-runner. Hence, ALL attention must be paid to THE CHRIST!
