What did Jesus imply by saying, "This is my blood of the new coveneant, which is poured out for many."? Consider that the Passover was a Jewish festival that remembered when a plague of death "passed over" the home of those Jewish people who marked their doors with blood from a lamb. Jews remembered this day with a feast of unleavened bread. He implied that Jesus came for everyone, both the Israelis, Egyptians and ALL, because in the Egyptian era it saved only the Jews. Now any who drinks it, overcomes death!!
