Why did Jesus answer a question with a question, rather than just telling the Pharisees by what authority He acted? He probably wanted them to be able to differentiate what is Godly from one that is not, and what is good from what is bad, so that they will be responsible for their position.

What lesson do you think Jesus taught the disciples by cursing the fig tree? The lesson there for us to learn is that we should live out the Christ-like life expected of us. We should show good examples and bear good fruit, inorder not to be uprooted or cut off.
