Love is different from what we think it is. To me, love is having someone in the same way you have yourself. The love from a mother to her baby is example of a true affection in the real sense of view but if the child grows up, the love will diminish because the child may know how to say yes or know or having the feeling that he/she can take care of h/herself which might not be pleasant to the mother. The biological relationship remains mother and son/daughter. The love of God is like this hence the Book of John 14:23.

If you call God your God and love Him wholeheartedly, abide by His commandments He will love you like a mother love her new born baby and He will reveal Himself to you and will call you His son.

We pray that the almighty God offer us the grace to love Him now and forevermore
