Why did Jesus´ penalty for "sin" need to include physical and emotional pain - why not just spiritual separation from God? Because of significant physical torture, emotion at distress over 16hour, the and suffering of being beaten, rejected and ridicused, sacrifice his life for us, because of all the evils of mankind, his opponents attacked him for having unsovary characters such as tax collector and sinner amont his disciple, he cries out at a moment in time when he is not just physically punished, but spiritually speparated from God. The sacrifice of his life include physical and emotional pain.
