He wants us to imitate Him by Loving others the same way He Loved us. And finally because it is the real missing link between God and man, between a man and his neighbor. Why does Jesus call "Love One Another" a "New" commandment? The reason he called love one another a new commandment are as follows. firstly love is forgiving if i love another man it will be easy for me to forgive him/her for the wrong committed to me.It is also compassionate ready to help others in time of need and be able to sacrifice for such person. Secoundly is that if we love oneanother we will not think of plaining evil against the other fellow and will be willing show the right way when i see my brethren going the wrong way. Finally love comes from knowing christ which comes from within one heart and one can only excercise this by love those who are aroung our nabourhood and when we show love to others wr are in return worshiping our father who is in heaven.
