If neither Herod nor Pilate found anything worthy of death to convict Jesus of then why was he sentenced to death? It is written that the son of man must die for the redemption of mankind, and also, because the crowd where strongly behind the cruxifying of Jesus and shouting for the release of the thieves who where Guilty.

Why do you think Jesus did not speak to Herod nor answer Pilate? Because their heart is full of lack of faith, and they only wanted to see him perform miracle. Jesus dont talk much, so He always meditate and ponder on His words before saying them which we are suppose to copy from Him.
