Jesus love us truely, that was why He accepted to die for our sins. God's forgiveness is motivated by love, that is the reason Jesus goes out of His way to find imperfect people, tell them the truth about their sin, forgives them, and He will now use their brokenness for his glory.

 The Samaritan woman is an example of God's forgiveness, Jesus just decided to meet her, he took her unawares, she was careful not to tell Jesus who she was, but eventually, when Jesus told her who she was, forgave her sin, she call him a prophet, run to the community, glorifying Him. Can we now see how forgiveness had increased love for God.
