What did Jesus imply by saying, "This is my blood of the new coveneant, which is poured out for many."? Consider that the Passover was a Jewish festival that remembered when a plague of death "passed over" the home of those Jewish people who marked their doors with blood from a lamb. Jews remembered this day with a feast of unleavened bread.

Recall that the original passover marked a festival meant for the Jews alone.

It is not the same as the new passover. Jesus blood was not poured for Jews alone. It is for Jews and Greeks, Circumcised/Uncircumcised etc. It is for all who beleived. Hence it is for as many as are willing to come. This is why it is a new convenant.

Why does Jesus consider this woman`s desire to please Jesus more important than giving to the poor?

The womans act has a time limit. Jesus death was at hand, so the anointing by the woman was right on time. The poor has always been and will always be with them, so they will always have opportunity to give the poor.

Apart from this, i also think some of the people are not that concerned about giving the poor but about selling the oil and taking the money.

Why does Jesus encourage focusing on the daily task at hand and discourage predicting the future?

If he didnt we will rest all our energy trying to read the future. Today is known, yet we are not able to cover all. Adding the future will be of no use to us since we cant handle it till we get to that point
