Many christians beleive that christianity means they should cut off themselves totally from others. They usually quote the passage that says "do not be unequally yoked with unbeleivers".

Jesus life has shown that this should not be the case. You should not cut off your social life because you are a christian. I dont mean you should go to nite-clubs, get drunk etc. But you can still attend other peoples activities -birthday parties, anniversaries, wedding etc. These activities should also allow people see your life and emulate it. Our life should reflect that of Christ.

Christ wasnt as much of a "party goer". But he knows that that is where he will meet the unsaved, the sick etc. We must emulate this. If we cant meet them (unbeleivers), we cant spread the word.
