Jesus believes lowly people are valuable. The Bible says; "...all have sinned and come short of the glory of God"- Romans3:23. Also, it is written in the bible that, our righteousness is like a filthy rag before God. This shows that, no matter how rich we are in this earth, and not qualify for the kingdom of heaven, we are still poor. Christ is our righteousness and without Him, we are lowly and poor. This made Him to leave His throne in heaven humility to die for the lowly. Apostle Peter testifies in the book of Act 10:34 that "God is no respecter of persons..." Before Jesus, everyone is valuable, that was why, He ate with sinners and laid emphasis on humility when He compared the children to the kingdom of heaven and also admonished us to be like them.

He values the lowly so much that, He dialogued with them- John4:7-9, recognised the widow's mite - Mark12:41-44
