In my own view, I will say that it is because that God made it like that. In the book of John 3:16. and if you see what happened in the Garden of Eden. God love man with all his heart and unfortunately man fall to sin. For God to bring man into his place again He sends his son Jesus Christ to come and die for us so that we will be in paces with Him again because He first Love us in the beginning. "Was Jesus trying to incite his death (eg. temple cleansing, accusation of leaders?) No, I do not believe this. What he was doing was getting attention to all the sin that was all around. He knew of his fate before hand. He was letting everyone around that what they were doing was against GOD's will.
