Why didn`t Nicodemus accept the opinion of the rulers and Pharisees about Jesus?

BECAUSE HE HAD NOT HEARD FROM JESUS HIMSELF.SO HE WANTED TO HEAR FROM 'THE HORSES MONTH' BEFORE MAKING HIS CONCLUSIONS.

"According to Jesus, what does it mean to be loved by God?"

God's love is different from man's love. first, everything starts from the creation of man. God gave man the friutful things to possess, He gane Adam the Garden of Eden, He brouth out the children of israel out of the house of boundage only to come and serve,and worship him. He also gave his only begotten son to come and die for sinners. It is because of these that i say the love of god ie different. Man cant love like He loved. the bible says'' if any is of christ old things has passed away, and everything becomes new'' man cant just forgive like that if offended by someone, but God does. God because of his likeness in us makes the difference.

Does Jesus believe lowly people are valuable? How valuable?

yes they are. they are created by God, in his likeness created he them. so, the lowly has the same manner of God. The rich always fills too important when giving, but the poor gives out of will. Jesus said ''only if we can humble ourslves like little children tha heavens is ours'' so, one can say humility is the key.
