Indeed, God's love for us is vividly portrayed in Jesus' journey to the cross to save mankind from the repercussions of sin. Truly, a sinner who has committed terrible acts like rape, murder or fraud, will love God and appreciate His mercies of forgiveness more than someone who may have only told 'white lies' before their conversion. This is because the former knows where he came from and the terrible deeds, which God in His love forgave and erased completely. Someone who may not have really 'sinned' throughout their lifetime, may not fully grasp and appreciate the miracle of God's love and the cleansing power of Jesus' blood.
