How is it that the Christ is descended from David, and yet David still calls Him Lord?

Christ was born by Mary who is a descendant of David so it is said he descended from David. But David knew that Christ was the son of God and only came through Mary in the form of man that He may interact freely with the people of the world to bring about deliverance.

What did you learn about Jesus` background that stands out or surprises you?

What surprises me about Jesus' background is that, even as at the time when women were regarded as second class citizens, Jesus see them as equal humans and respected them. This proves that there is no man or woman before God.

What did you learn about Jesus` background that stands out or surprises you?

I think what stands out for me, is the fact that Jesus respected women and even had some of them as His followers inspite of the Jewish law, which portrayed women as second class citizens.
