Why does Jesus call "Love One Another" a "New" commandment?

It is a new commandment becouse the love Jesus christ was talking about is agape love which has to do with no reason.while in the old testament is love me and i love you too vise vasa.but Jesus' definition of love here is love or hate me, i love you.indeed it's a new commandment

Why does Jesus call "Love One Another" a "New" commandment?

When God created Adam and Eve, He always came down in the cool of the evening to have fellowship with him. Somewhere along the line, Adam fell in keeping the Commandment of God. He (God) had to emptied Himself in Jesus so that He could restore man back to Himself and usher in again the sweet fellowship. Now you can see the LOVE that God shows to mankind through Jesus who died to wipe our sin away and reconcile us to God. This Love now covers the sin of the world. In like manner also, by loving one another if the person either by omission or commision offends us, the true love that we have for such people will always reconcile us together. This therefore seems to be the "New" commandment.

Jesus called "love one another" a "new" commandment because He said, with that, all men will know that we are His disciple.These of course can only be portrayed if we, His sheep, demonstrate our love for one another and also by being at peace with each other the way He showed us.
