What was Jesus trying to teach about giving (amount, motive, attitute)? What Jesus teaches here is that, not until you are abundantly have before doing for God. You must work for God in any circumstances you find yourself.

Why does Jesus encourage focusing on the daily task at hand and discourage predicting the future? Because what we are doing at moment will dictate what the future holds for us. Moreso, we need to pay particular attention to our habit and denying self glorification, rather pay attention to the work of God and keep watching for His coming.
