3400 entries for this category: Jesus purpose for taking the humble role of human being was to bring salvation to mankind.He did this by dying on the cross.However,before the final death on the cross,He went about "doing good":healing the sick,feeding the hungry,preaching,teaching and so many "menial" jobs. He came to serve and save mankind. Jesus felt love for this rich man, and guided him to focus on treasures in heaven instead of treasures on earth. What is heavenly treasure? Heavenly treasures include"one hundred times more now in this time, houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and land, and in the age to come eternal life." In heaven there will be riches beyond anything on earth. But most importantly Eternal live is worth all the sacrifices required to make heaven.
