Jesus taught that both believing and forgiving are key to effective prayer. Why do you think they are important?

We can not get something if we do not believe that our father in Heaven can provide it.We cannot ask our father and get something if we have not obeyed His commandments.And to hate or not to forgive is a sin,it does not obey the commandment of loving one another.If we lack belief and do not forgive,we can not expcet our father to answer our prayers.

Why did Jesus answer their question with a question? Why didn`t he just say that his authority came from God?

Jesus wanted them to commit themselves with their answer,and to show the crowd,that the religious leaders were not genuinely serving their interests and God.

What is Jesus trying to teach with this parable? Hint: The vineyard (where grapes are grown) is Israel; The farmer is God; the servants are the prophets who were sent by God; the son is Jesus; and the tenants are religious leaders of the Jews.

Jesus is trying to teach about religious events:God's prophets were and had been persecuted and killed for bringing a message to the jews about their disobedience(s).Now God' had sent His beloved Son,Jesus-and He was being persecuted,and was soon going to be killed.
