Why do you suppose they were filled with fear then comforted by Jesus eating food? I suppose they were filled with fear when they saw Jesus after His death because they saw Him suffered & died before their very own eyes & probably thought that He was a ghost. They were comforted when they saw Him eating because they realized that He indeed was alive in the flesh again.
