King Herod held power to kill as desired, yet he himself feared many things. What did he fear? Do have have any of his fears?

King Herod feared spiritual power. He feared God. He thought that he was the highest, anything below him is subject to die. Yes, I do have fears in my life. I fear God. I fear of losing my chance to heaven. Why would I give up that chance, just for earthly possesions and pleasures? Yet most of us do.

How did Jesus equip his disciples for powerful work by taking away their material possessions?

The material possessions would be more of a distraction to them than a help to preach the Word. Jesus also allowed space for people to receive Blessings. For whoever welcome a tired visitor, feed him and give him to drink receives a Blessing for their home and family.They had no load on their backs to carry which made it easier for them to stay anywhere and to walk longer distances.

Faith allowed power to flow from Jesus even without his initiative. What is faith?

I believe that faith is a strong belief from deep within us. The sick woman knew that Jesus was a great healer, Someone great so that everything He touches would be filled with some awesome power. She figured that just by touching the end of His cloak, she would be healed with no one noticing. Her faith was believing that even the clothes of the Master would heal her forever.
