According to Jesus, to be loved by God means to keep His word. If we love Jesus and keep His word, the Father will love us. Jesus is in His Father and we, who keep His word, are in Jesus. God gave us His Son that whoever believes in Him sould not perish but have eternal life and if we believe in Him, we will keep His commandments. It all boils down to obedience. If we keep His word, obey His commandments and love our Lord we are set. But if we stubbornly go our own way knowing what we know, we are being disobedient. Then how can the Father love us. Then again He says that no one will snatch them out of His hand because we are His sheep and His sheep know His voice and follow Him.
Jesus even goes on to give us these words...
If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you.
How true these scripture words are. I had a terrible stomach pain about 2:00a.m. one morning. No medicine around. I kept rolling in bed. Then I remembered these words, If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you. I asked my Jesus to take away the pain and quoted His words. Talk about instant magic. Like the snapping of your fingers, the pain was gone. My Jesus rocks!
Remain in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love; even as I have kept my Father`s commandments, and remain in his love. I have spoken these things to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be made full. Thank you Jesus for your words.By: Mirtha Fabro Category: The Vine and the Branches |
