"Which of these purposes do you believe Jesus accomplished?"

I believe that Jesus had accomplish all of the above mentioned because He gave His life for us by dying on the cross and because of that we can enjoy life by knowing that He love us so much. He preached the word thats why today we know of it and could pass it on to others.Anything that we ask in His name it will come to reality because there is POWER in His NAME.

How does Jesus link intimacy to him with obedience to him?" a "New" commandment?

Jesus said in his words if You love me you'll keep my commandments. Once we obey Jesus then it shows that we love him. If we don't care for someone we won't listen to what they have to say but if Love them we will try to do everything in our will power to please them. Jesus already died on the cross for us because he love us, so why can't we show him appreciation by prasing his name, praying & reading our Bibles? This is a part of intimacy because we are bringing ourselves closer to him.
