What is so good about fasting? Why fast? It is good fasting because you can offer God a sacrifice to him, to please him, with something that goes against our own flesh. Fasting promotes inner growth, strenght, and a shelter from evil attack.

Why does God appreciate prayers in secret more than public prayers? Because in prayer you are talking to God, to no one else, it is an intimate conversation between God and you. He is the center of the prayer, not me neither you. In our prayers we must seek God, therefore, if we want to do public prayers for our own honor, we are not looking for God, but to satisfafy our own selfishness.
