What makes it so difficult to love our enemies? Bonus Question: What happens when we love our enemies? Our flesh makes it difficult, our old nature, without the grace of God it is surely difficult.We need God empowerment. When we love our enemies we enjoy freedom, peace, and joy. God reward us that way.

Why did Jesus instruct his followers to react passively when attacked? Because the spirit of God is humbleness, meekness, tolerance, forvigeness, love, the opposite is evil. No one may be called a follower of Jesus of Nazareth if he does not follow his steps. As Jesus reacted passively when he beared the passion, as well we must do it.
