How is Jesus coming into Galilee like light coming into a dark place? What is there about Jesus teaching that is like light? The light coming into a dark place, meaning transforming what was dark into light, and the only presence of Jesus in Galilee had implicitly light to transform people, and of course his words, his miracles, all Jesus' ministry in Galilee. The people of Galilee (the gentiles) were living a sinful life, a wordly life, with wrong patterns of life, and a senseless life, and that it is why the bible describes it in few words as "a dark place". And when Jesus came into Galilee he brought his teachings with which he opened the light to the minds and hearts of the gentiles. Jesus delivered them light, energy, love, forgiveness, comfort, hope to the people of Galilee through his teachings, something they were lacking and needing, his teachings had something new, something bright. Jesus spoke clearly and in simple terms to them so thay they could understand and be transformed. His teachings had the power to transform them, to bring them light, to open their minds and repent.

Why was it important for Jesus to go through a time of temptation? To teach us with his example that it is posible to overcome temptation if we equip ourselves with the word of God. Jesus went through the main and troublesome temptations that are common in our ordinary life. For Jesus, it is important the time of temptation, the message was for christians that has to bear it, only quarreling and doing the good fight and not making peace with temptation is how christians are free and can enjoy peace. We are proved in time of temptation, temptation provees what we really are. The crown is for the good fighter against temptation.
