When Jesus said, "it is finished", what did "it" refer to? That is, what was finished? As we had study in previous lessons, Jesus was sent for a purpose, with a mission, so when he said "it is finished", he meant, he had fulfilled completely that mission. The will of God was done. Everything was prophesied and also fulfilled.

Why do you think Pilate gave Jesus the title "King of the Jews"? Pilate gave Jesus the title "King of the Jews" because Jesus admited he was King, and Pilate added " of the jews", because Jesus was Jew. Pilate was mocking of the Kingdom of Jesus, he did not understand what was that, so it was easy for him to give him an earthly title, "king of were Jesus was from.
