Why is it evil to use oaths? It is evil to use oaths because whhen we do so, we are "selfconfident", when the truth is that we totally depend on God, in his grace to do things. We can not even change our hair into black or white, as Jesus said. Instead of giving our word to others to do something that we can not be sure to do, we must knock the doors of Heaven and implore God to empower us to do things with his grace and favour. Jesus considers "swearing sin", so if it is sin, the practice of using oaths is evil. demoniac work.
