Why do you think Peter denied Jesus?
Peter denied Jesus, first, because eventhough he loved Jesus, he spiritualy weakend himself, I remember when Jesus asked them to pray with him, and instead they fall asleep. Second, because he had pride, he felt so sure about his love and faith to Jesus, that is why eventhough he was warned by jesus about his denial, he didnt believe on that, and didnt prayed for strength. Third, because he was afraid and cowardice, he followed his instinct. Forth, because he still had world care.

How did Jesus` death benefit people?

Complete and eternal benefit comes from Jesus' death on the cross, because with his death Jesus was paying the penalty for our sins, it was a perfect sacrifice that Jesus offered to his Holy Father, to make us free from condemnation and to give us the unique gift of eternal life. With His sacrifice he has given us redemption. How unvaluable is his sacrifice, how tremendous and forever gift. I undestand also that after his death, not before, he promised to give us his precious holy spirit to be with us forever and to help us to live a holy life. And furthermore, with his death, now Jesus in glory with his father, is our high priest in heaven. There is much more benefits that still escape to my mind and understanding, that the Holy spirit shall open my mind to see.

Why did Jesus go so willing with those who intended to do Him harm?
Simple, because Jesus already knew that people were to cause him great harm, and what was happening and might happen to him was the will of God, and He accepted it. Jesus had a holy vision, he saw through all circunstances the will of God. Jesus put above all, the will of God, he never depart from that, how he would not take the cup that the father was given to drink, as he stated. Jesus during his preachings taught his disciples to do good to those who do them bad, to love their enemy, and he lived what he taught, and that is why he was willing with those who intended to do him harm.
