I believe that Jesus' followers were called children of light because they recieved the Word, followed Jesus & knew more of what was right & wrong. Jesus is light so I guess as His followers, they were children of light.

Why does Jesus call "Love One Another" a "New" commandment? Because eventhough that was an old commandment from the old testament, Jesus called "love one another" a new commandment because he added a new ingredient that made it new, to love one another as He loves us. It makes a great diference, because we have a pattern or a living example to follow, and his holy spirit to fullfill the commandment.

Why was Mary`s annointing so meaningful to Jesus? Jesus knew that He wouldn't be with them too long. He knew that His death was near so He allowed Mary to lavishly anoint Him. As He said, there will be poor always.
