What did Jesus state as the primary purpose of the temple, and how might this apply to today? Jesus stated that the primary purpose of the temple was to prayer but the people sold birds and animals outside for their own profit. Today, we have our Church that we use for prayer as well but at least in the ones I go to, there is no selling for profit; just praying & worship.

How would you respond if Jesus asked you, "What do you want me to do?" For once, I guess I would think of others needs before mine. I would ask Jesus to heal all the sick in the world & feed all the hungry. Stop crimes & killing, injustice & stealing. Make the world a better place to live in without fear.
