Given the scandals associated with the women Tamar, Rahab, Ruth and the wife of Uriah (Bathsheba), why do you think they were mentioned in the geneology of Jesus? God can use people for his purposes, even if they have done bad things. Perhaps Mathew uncluded these names to show Jesus came to save people who do bad things, which is all of us!

How did Joseph know it was a real angel appearing to him in his dreams, and not just , for example, indigestion? He probably felt the spirit of the Lord in the presence of the angel.
