Why did Jesus use the greeting. "Peace be to you"? Was there special signiificance in this greeting? Jesus came to die for our sins. He greeted his Disciples with "Peace be to you" because now His word had been fulfilled, that we may be at peace with ourselves and serve and be at peace with our Father.

Why did Jesus use the greeting. "Peace be to you"? Was there special signiificance in this greeting? Jesus is peace, and he was sharing it with the disciples. We should have peace knowing and trusting in our heavenly Father.
