All He came to do, inorder that we will have an opportunity to choose Jesus as Our Saviour and Lord, and that we be forgiven our sins, and have everlasting life with Him. He went through Hell, just for us, so that we, His sheep could be returned to Him after this life.

When Jesus said, "it is finished", what did "it" refer to? That is, what was finished? He completed the will of his FATHER and fulfilled the scriptures. What he was put on earth to achieve, the sacrifice of his body as an offering so all of our sins could be forgiven was complete.
