To remain in Jesus (the vine) we must seek Christ; i.e., read the Bible, follow His commandments, ask for understanding, and do His will on earth.  This is a challenge that humans often struggle with because we are in the flesh and want to comply with the ways of the world.  We must overcome these fleshly-yearnings by putting the Word of God and Jesus's teachings first in our life.

If we would all seek and put into action what He commanded, the world world be a better place.  "Seek ye the kingdom of God first, and all else will be added."
