Why did Jesus cause those who see to become blind? I suspect, it was to help them recognize that they are not perfect, and of fault & sin, even though they claimed to be holy. They are blind to the sins they commit and through this teaching JESUS helps them to recognize the fact that all men/women are sinful. Remember, no one except for JESUS was ever perfect and without sin.
