Consider that the Passover was a Jewish festival that remembered when a plague of death "passed over" the home of those Jewish people who marked their doors with blood from a lamb. Jews remembered this day with a feast of unleavened bread. Jesus means that if one believes in Him and drinks His cup of blood one will be saved by Him as the angels of death pass over the homes of the Jewish people that were marked with blood of the perfect lamb were saved.

Why does Jesus consider this woman`s desire to please Jesus more important than giving to the poor? Because in her way she was honoring and praising the Lord.

Why does Jesus consider this woman`s desire to please Jesus more important than giving to the poor? For the poor will always be there and the LORD Jesus wouldn't; Jesus will be back to where He came from..heaven.
