How did John`s testimony prepare people to receive Jesus and His message? John's testimony prepared people to receive Jesus and His message by telling them that he himself was not the Christ, telling people to repent and he baptized them with water. He told them that the One to come would baptize them with the Holy Spirit. The One before is great than him.

Why was sending Jesus to live on earth such an effective way for God to tell people about Himself? God lived among us as human in flesh without sins was to let us know the ways He wants us to follow and to know Him.
