What did Jesus state as the primary purpose of the temple, and how might this apply to today? Jesus stated that the primary purpose of the temple is for prayer. THis also applies today, however we can also prayer anywhere we like.

What was in Jesus` heart that made him weep as he looked down on Jerusalem? Jesus contained a lot of love and compassion for the people of Jerusalem. He knew that they would not recognize him and put him to death but still loved them. He was giving them a chance of salvation, but because they would not recognize him, they couldn't obtain it.
