How does the host respond when people reject his dinner invitation in order to pursue their possessions and relationships?

He becomes angry and invites other guests. He vows that the people who rejected his invitation would not taste his supper.

What does Jesus mean that "Everyone who exalts himself will be humbled and whoever humbles himself will be exalted"?

It means that you shouldn't exalt yourself and think that you are better than everybody else. You should always show the virtue of humility, this is how Jesus conducted himself. Only God, can exalt you.

What is the Good News, and how does this relate to guilt and condemnation of divorce?

The good news is the gospel being preached to the world, all that have ears should listen and act in order to receive eternal life. Divorce and marry the one who is divorced hunband/wife concided adultery and is guilty and be condemnated.
