Why is it signficant that Jesus fulfilled what was predicted hundreds of years before? Note: Mark refers to the old Scriptures from the Prophet Isaiah (chapter 53) "He poured out his soul unto death, And He was numbered with the transgressors, And he bore the sins of many." Isaiah 53 contains many more matches to events in Jesus` life. It was important because Jesus was to be the new sacrificial lamb in the covenant between man and God. Through His perfect sacrifice and love for us, man is able to have eternal life

Why did Jesus cry out, "My God, My God, why have You forsaken me?" Note: This is a direct quote from the Jewish Scripture, Psalm 22:1. For Jesus is the Son of God, that's what a child would say to his/her parents when in pain.
