What actions of the scribes did Jesus warn against? Do we have people who act like this now? Pretending to be holy and everything wanted to be first and showing off in the public are the actions that Jesus warned against. Yes, I think so, lots of them.

Note: Jesus answered with two quotations from the Jewish law about loving God (Deuteronomy 6:4), and about loving neighbors (Leviticus 19:18). For God is love. If one has love for all people he reflects the light from God. If one has love he is whole and has no evil in him.
