The common people are praising Jesus, expecting him to become Israel`s next king. Jesus knew they would turn against him a few days later when he disappointed their expectation. Do you have expections of Jesus which he did not promise?

I think many of us expectations of Jesus which he did not promise including myself. I try to remind myself that these are not promises made by Jesus and that Jesus rewards us on a different level

Why did Jesus answer their question with a question? Why didn`t he just say that his authority came from God?

Jesus knew (and always knows what man thinks) that they were trying to blot Him and put Him away for good. They should know too that Jesus' authority is from above for no man can do any miracle without God's power.

Jesus taught that both believing and forgiving are key to effective prayer. Why do you think they are important?

I think they are importtant because action without faith is dead; nothing will happen if one does anything without believing in one's heart it's going to happen.. And, if we don't forgive others our Father in heaven will not forgive us so He does not answer our prayers.
