How did John`s testimony prepare people to receive Jesus and His message? John prepared the way for the One who came after him and John baptized with water and the One after him baptized with spirit and fire and John got people to repent.

Why was sending Jesus to live on earth such an effective way for God to tell people about Himself? Jesus is God in flesh. What He did on earth among the people at that time showed people that's what God does and wants people to know what He wants us to do--to be blameless and wholesome.
