Why did Jesus invest so much in Peter even though He knew that Peter would deny Him?

Thank God that Jesus invested so much in Peter! He knew Peter would be betray Him and he knows that we will too. It's comforting to know that there is hope for us and that we too can be forgiven.

Jesus INVESTS ALL in everyone, He is the SACRIFICE for ALL! Nothing about Jesus does he hold back!

Jesus allowed Judas to betray Him, even though He knew his evil intention, because He knew his betrayal was prohesied, that it was God's will for Judas to betray Him so His purpose on earth could be completed.  All was prophesized in Scripture, and Jesus intended to fulfill the prophecy and be crucified for the salvation of those who believe.  Although in the natural he was probably not looking forward to what was to come, He knew He had to make the ultimate sacrifice to return to His Father and the glory of heaven and to save the human race from ultimate defeat, death, and the purposes of the enemy.
