Why didn`t Nicodemus accept the opinion of the rulers and Pharisees about Jesus? The Pharisees cared more about ruling the masses then they did about Jesus' teachings. Nicodemus knew this about them and realized how hypocritical they were in their teachings. Nicodemus also realized Jesus was the long awaited Messiah.

Why didn`t Nicodemus accept the opinion of the rulers and Pharisees about Jesus? Nicodemus asked Jesus how he could be born again. He knew Jesus was the long awaited Messiah. The Pharisees judged a man by his outside appearance and didn't care more about power and rulership. Nicodemus knew this about them. Therefore, their opinions did not matter to him.
