27012 entries for this category: Jesus did not de-emphasisize that the world hates those who condemn evil because it was TRUTH. Jesus's purpose on earth was to glorify His Father in heaven by revealing that He is the WAY, the TRUTH, and the LIGHT!! If the world hates those who testify that its works are evil, why didn`t Jesus deemphasize this portion of His message? Jesus told His disciples the world would be in enmity with them because of preaching the truth. The world only loves it's own. Jesus told Christians to not love the things of this world nor to live a worldly lifestyle.

What was there about Jesus` message caused so many of His disciples to turn away? Jesus talked about eating His flesh and drinking His blood. Many of His disciples took it in the literal sense. Jesus of course was talking about accepting the word of God so that we may be saved. Many of His disciples also desired the worldly goods instead of the spiritual gift.
