What about Jesus` death impressed the Centurian so much that He realized Jesus was the Son of God?

As Jesus cried to Eli as to why he had forsaken Him, the people could see the response to those cries. The thunder, the quakes, all were signs that the Heavenly Father was in fact responding to the cries of Jesus, His son.

The Greek word generally translated “cross” is stauÂ·ros. It basically means “an upright pale or stake.” The Compan- ion Bible points out: “[StauÂ·ros] never means two pieces of timber placed across one another at any angle . . . There is nothing in the Greek of the [New Testament] even to imply two pieces of timber.” In several texts, Bible writers use another word for the instrument of Jesus’ death. It is the Greek word xylon. (Acts 5: 30; 10:39; 13:29; Galatians 3:13; 1 Peter 2:24) This word simply means “timber” or “a stick, club, or tree.” Now the question is that the true Jesus follower 12 Apostles never used cross after his death. It is also clear that the Jesus wasnt crucified. But now a days why Christian used cross as their symbol. Doesnt it is idolatry? Please make me clear about this?

Define "Compassion"?

I think Compassion is being so touched in your heart that it moves your Spirit towards those who may be in need. When I watched that movie the Shotgun Preacher, I saw that Mr. Childers was moved with compassion for the children that he put saving the children above anything even if it meant going up in gunfight for the safety of the children.
